on the bright side - we DO use less energy with the new time. It light out sooner, so you don't need to use as many lights in the morning to see - same at night since it stays darker longer. At least the time change is environmentally friendly.
So I live in a Land, Indiana, where DST didn't exist until last April. As ardent as you all (ya'll?) are about this - it's nothing compared to the Hoosier wrath that we experience!
(I've actually heard a guy talk very seriously about impeaching the governor for his terrible idea!)
And it was Benjamin Franklin's idea (National Treasure).

we'll just get used to it when they switch it again.

I like it when it stays light longer--but I do remember it being hard to adjust when my kids were little.
