Do you realize what time it is???
Let me give you a hint,
this time next week my kids will be at school!
What a summer it has been...the longest summer we have ever had in some ways...Mattie was done at Providence mid May, so its been a full three months. I have all the school supplies squirrelled away and today I will try to sort through their clothes and see what we need besides new shoes and lunchboxes. Thursday night will be a hotdog social at the school where we'll meet the PTA people (aka Overachievers). We finally got Vin's shots done (whew) and he never even flinched. Yes, I have that school feeling. I can almost smell the pencil shavings.
Now, if we can just squeeze in one more trip to the lake....

yeah, i'm totally up for showing off my new bikini lol...okay so maybe I won't go that far but I would enjoy the lake very much
can't believe school is starting! On one hand I'm thankful the neighborhood kids will be in their houses at night instead of practicing to be hoodlems on my front porch; on the other hand, Ron starts his first year of law school Monday and our lives will never be the same from then on. Vinny's going to school and I'm feeling incredibly old today.
ditto court! little vin...with a little backpack...he and mattie getting their picture taken in the kitchen for the first day of school...ness, you'd better take excellent photos for us all!
school starts tommorrow in fl. boy am i glad i'm not a part of that schedule anymore! ha-ha suckers!

Michigan Legislature passed a law that School cannot begin BEFORE Labor day....for tourism $$. So..Yah..Big Deal...Labor day is Monday..School starts TUES. Not like you can Go do anything on MONDAY as the kids will have to get up EARLY on tues.
yah.
Great law. NOT.
The Charter school prides itself in offering MORE days of school, so we'll probably be going untill July next summer.
Ash, I'm kinda jealous you're out of the school schedule...I seem to be perpetually caught in the college world...it's like I'm doing penance for being a dropout! :)Like the movie "Groundhog's Day" or something....I just have to keep being on a campus until I somehow get my degree; great, now I'm gonna have those anxious dreams where I have to give a speech in front of Mr. Maxwell and I didn't do the research (I can't call that a nightmare since I used to do it all the time--hated that class). I think I'm rambling now since I've been up about 20 hours so far.
courtney! go to sleep, but in the morning, "watch that first step. it's a doozy." tee-hee-hee!
can't sleep--toddler will take over the world! I can say that I'm totally capable of making grilled cheese sandwiches in my sleep...sometimes I just can't remember where I put them! lol
It really doesn't matter how tired I am because at least we don't have to send Dora to daycare; it's totally worth it.
I would have to say that back to school time and the scent of pencils and such is fun for me...I am looking forward to getting some school supplies
