yes, not a surprise that it was on the market for one day before getting snatched up. This is the only house we have seen so far that we liked this much.

heading out tonight to see some duplexes to rent...

i'm confused, so the house is already taken?

yup. It was on the market just long enough for me to fall in love with it and then get the call that it was spoken for.

renting isn't all bad....you don't have to fix anything yourself and you don't have to pay the taxes on it. plus, it's always temporary. THE HOUSE is out there (okay the next THE HOUSE is out there). If it's under contract, is it a totally done deal or is there a chance it could fall through? (in other words, do you want me to use my connections to take care of a guy for you?)

my grandfather has a few connections as well, i could have him get in contact with them

I'm not kidding, he really does have 'connections'..

Which is really starting to make me wander if the people i often find going in the same direction as me "are they really going in the 'same' direction?"

You probably know all this already, but does the seller's realtor have your name and contact info. just in case? Our current home was under contract until closing day, when the buyer didn't show. The seller's realtor still had our name and called us. We were still house-hunting and got the home at the price we wanted :-) Of course, no situation is the same, but it can't hurt to share experiences.
Just another word of encouragement: we had several home possibilities fall through for us and were crushed many times. But the next possibility always ended up better than the last possibility, even though at the time we couldn't imagine a better possibility.
In any case, the picture of your "perfect home" is adorable. I ache with you and can't wait to see what God provides for you :-)

thanks Bina!

It is such a roller coaster...and I think I'm getting to old to ride them. The only thing that feels right now is to throw my hands up and scream!
