Woke up last night to sound of something pelting against the window. Turns out it was snow...and kind of a lot of it. There's about 2 or 3 inches out there sticking to the ground. After Robb got to work this morning, he called to tell me he was there safe. The reason that this is a big deal is that it really is unsafe to drive in snow down here. Just one example: a woman had PARKED her SUV in the PASSING LANE. So it's not the snow that's dangerous, it's the blizzard of complete idiots.

Welcome to Winter in Arkansas. We usually get 3 or 4 of these each year. We've been spared this year so far. You certainly identified one aspect of the danger down here, no one knows what they're doing. The other one is that they don't have the equipment to handle it. So far, there is only one other house on our street that has shovelled their driveway besides me. I was obviously a yankee this morning as I worked hard to get down to nice, clean concrete. Usually, it will warm up enough within a day or two that it isn't a big deal and it all melts. But it looks like this stuff could stay around for a while this week as cold as it is supposed to be.
Be careful as you guys drive around, the roads will be nothing like up north. Expect ice at every curve and intersection!
D*** Yankee checking in here too:D We actually kept out 5hp 24" two stage snowblower from MI, so, yep...clean concrete on my drive and 3 of my neighbors!!
I'm totally sick of it already. It's stinking freezing and I can't get my feet warm. This house wasn't really built for snow. (It was apparently built to shelter mice and ants).
I've got some battery operated socks you can borrow if you want.
REFUSE To ask if A has any other battery operated things for anyone to borrow.
SHOWING DISCRETION.
YES i AM!!!

No comment on anything else.
