Goosebumps in July

Robb and I took a meandering drive over to Siloam Springs today to visit Local Flair Gallery, which was hosting our friend Freedom Rodriguez's stunning event, 100 Faces of Uganda.  Freedom and his wife Nancy are both artists and they use their talents in amazing ways to help others. 

For this project, Freedom painted 100 portraits of Ugandan children on the covers of discarded children's books, creating a powerful metaphor of these ones who's lives are not a story-book one...their true stories unread and discarded for being too damaged, unreadable, or no longer of interest.

When someone creates something so powerful that goosebumps creep across your skin and your eyes mist with tears, they have done something noteworthy...calling attention to these little ones that are precious in the sight of God.
