It's a Charleigh World, I'm just living in it....

So yesterday, I went grocery shopping. It was there that I began to crystallize a feeling I've had for a while now...I am just Charleigh's entourage. Literally, everywhere we go, she stops traffic. The toothpaste aisle. The lobster tank. McDonald's. People seem to be drawn to her like a magnet. In the thrift store, she had little old ladies singing songs with her and other kids playing peek-a-boo. She walks out with free toys, free stickers, free candy. People can't seem to help themselves...she just casts some kind of spell on them and they simply must acknowledge her dimples, her big brown eyes, her non stop questions punctuated with her oft-repeated repertoire of songs...which includes but is certainly not limited to:

Blah Blah Blacksheep, have you any more?
You're Worthy, You're Worthy, You're worthy to be praised, forever and a day...
Tomorrow (from Annie)
What if God was one of us...(she heard this at church and really liked the tune)
and the theme to Hannah Montana "Mix it all together and you know you got the best of both worlds!"

A couple of her current -isms...

Mars has "washmouth." Are you gonna buy "washmouth" with your "poupons," Mom?

Charleigh talking to her dad (on a business trip) on the phone: "Who is this? Is this Daddy? Is your name Robb?"

and the one that gets me every time...Charleigh on genitalia: I don't have a Pee-hind. Boys have a pee-hind.

Love the kidisms. We still use some of lil man's even though he has outgrown them. My husband walked into Lowe's and asked where the mowlawners are!

Oh my gosh...I totally understand. I even made him a onesie that says "old lady magnet" instead of chick magnet. Everywhere we go he is smiling at the ladies already! He has started chattering at everyone too. I know what's he begins putting words together there will be some head shaking moments.

That's exactly how I feel around Avery. I can't wait to get the two of them together. It's gonna be papparazi worthy....

Avery's endearing thing is to say (to complete and total strangers) "Hi! I'm Avery and this is my sister Allie and my mommy's name is Ashley Nicole. She's 30!" Luckily I can interrupt her before she beings to charmingly detail my weight, measurements, and toilet habits as well.

chuck usually knows everyone else's name in the grocery line. I'm on a friendly basis with most of the Walmart checkout people.

i think we are in for a treat!
