"I love it when a plan comes together."

I believe that my A-Team obsession growing up is the subconscious reason why I smoke cigars. I always wanted to be Hannibal.

"I pitty the fool . . . "

Obviously Mr. T's best acting gig ever.

I had the matchbox version of the A-Team van and used to play with it while watching the show.

OK, all other A-Team geeks, please stand . . .

Ohmygosh - I used to LOVE that show. Although Murdoch was my favorite. Quirky, yet fun. :)

Since my favorite big brother will not tell on himself, I will explain that he once tried to fill garbage bags with hot air from a blow dryer so he could fly over the house like Murdoch did to get out of the mental hospital.

Seriously loved that show, and McGyver (my secondary cell ringer), and also the one with the helicopter...Airwolf. Wonder if I could get that theme song for my ringer to replace the Alias theme.

What ever happened to Face?

Hey Ness.....Dad's been cleaning out the garage and there's a plastic A-team lunch box out there..I haven't had a chance to see if there's a thermos.....buy the way, your box came today and even the mailman said there were special instructions and that I wasn't suppose to open it....who know the mail service could be so good with further instructions.....love ya

I miss my A-team lunch box! I think I used that for 2 years in a row. Remember how we used to tape the theme songs to our favorite songs and Ron had a whole tape of Airwolf on loop?
"...ther--re's no place to crap!..."

1983 Plastic A-team lunchbox with thermos goes for 45 dollars on ebay...

I know we don't have the thermos, though, because that was the one that went to the woods with us...

We were so ahead of our time, taping the theme songs...and the entire episode of Family Ties when Alex and Ellen got together.

Save that lunchbox anyway.

Airwolf!! Yes, that was an awesome show.

That makes me think of John Mayer....

"whatever happened to...whatever happened to....whatever happened to my lunchbox?.....back in 1983...."

I think I had a Rainbow Bright lunchbox. By jr. high a lunchbox was SO uncool.

"when came the day that it got
thrown away..?"

Holly Hobbie and Strawberry Shortcake...metal ones, even.

I had the tupperware one for a while and then there was the square thermal one with the zipper around the top. Did I actually carry a brown bag...can't remember...

I was always a Blue Thunder fan instead of Airwolf.

ok, as long as we're talking about childhood heros and lunchboxes, we can't have GI Joe go without mention.

"GI Joe...a real American heee--ro! GI Joe is therrrrreee!"

Hey, now ya know. And knowing is half the battle.

U R right, Blue Thunder was better than Airwolf, but it had more of a cult following and didn't last near as long.

Stealth mode . . .

And yes, knowing IS half the battle.

While we're at it, here's a shout out to the plain brown lunch bag. Never had a lunch box, just those plain brown bags. We would use one per week, bringing it home every day, carefully folded until Friday, when we could throw it away!! That's how to stretch a penny.

Vanessa said...

yeah, cause they cost 1/2 a penny each....

I'm not kidding. In my Dad's 27 years working where he worked, he used one brown lunch bag a week. As did I my entire Jr. High and High School career. That's how "frugal" we had to be.
