JW alert

Yup, two nice old ladies just dropped off The Watchtower. I didn't have the heart to argue with them today. Must be weird believing that Jesus is an alien from out of space.

Yep, I love to see them coming... I like to talk to them about what Kingdom really means (a King, and all those who are subjects of that King), and then whose Kingdom I belong to - the King of Kings... It seems to be a good lead-in to talk about the one I love...

Well, if you never wanted them to show up again you would have talked to them...

I did that once some JW's showed up on my house on e.south street...i talked to them and told them about who i thought Christ really was...

They've never bothered my family since...my dad must be thankful but i was actually disappointed that in ever got to follow up with them.

I think I would have talked to them if they were into talking, but they seemed like they just wanted to drop their literature, tick me off the list and keep going. They read me a verse, gave their memorized speil and never gave me a chance to get a word in edgewise, other than to ask what kind of flowers I had growing. It's a pretty big jump from hollyhocks to the end of the world : )

Hey Vanessa... i know this may be a little weird for you to get a comment from someone you don't even know... My daughter is in Mr. Ryerse's class at school (Lanie) and i promise i am not a stalker... I just got your prayer request about your house one day in my e mail, and started praying for your family... and thought i would check out your blog. (i have this hilarious roomate from college that is from the south, you would love her blog because she is like reading a mitford book in her blogs which is how i even know about blogs...i have been so immersed in mother hood and well all that goes with it i am not too computer savvy) Anyway, i really enjoy your blog and i love how you write... you crack me up. I am continuing praying for the sale of your house. (We actually met once at one of the school functions and my son Ladd is in the same class with your daughter.) I would love to go have coffee sometime? Don't post this... it is just too long. Just wanted to say hi. Hope you have a great night. Cari Platt
