That's right, folks, you need to know that priorities sometimes mean that my house is dirty, disorganized and chaotic. Having spent considerable time away from home this week, working at the music hall, having lunch with my son, and doing some restocking of my ebay troves...well...it's bad. And you should know that my house is just not clean and picture perfect most of the time. So here you go...a disturbing look at real life in a small house with creative people...
Make it fun and play a little "I spy." Can you find the Atari console? Beaded party dress destined for the UK? Italian designer shoes? Yeah, shoot...I can't find them either, but they are in there...
And yes, you are right...I'm blogging it instead of cleaning it.

Kudos for courage! I am always amazed by how little time it takes a house to become so cluttered.
Thanks for making me smile.
Blogging about it is better than cleaning it...oh wait is that why my house is always dirty?
Looks like reality to me. But I have to tell you that my 8 year old son was looking over my shoulder while I was looking at the pictures and asked, "Were they robbed?".
hee-hee.
uhhhmm....we have the same coffee maker...
Cara....ROTFL!
Love the Victoria's Secret catalog on the floor. Keepin' it real.
LOL
Truth be told - my house looks like that all the time - unless people are coming over. And in my bid for authenticity (my new excuse for laziness) it often doesn't even get cleaned then....
1 hubby, 3 kids, one dog, child with 3 RPG nites a week, and one frequent border....
I hear you Vanessa. :)
Glass, dirty dishes, clocks, plates, TOOLS, SUPER GLUE??
LAYING AROUND THE HOUSE?!?
My boys would have those items constructed into a highly explosive bomb in 4 minutes flat.
'tis a luxury to be ABLE to have your house so cluttered and not fear your child(ren) will poison, maim, destroy, or hurt someone.
Hmm...I keep looking at the pictures, but I'm not seeing hardly any clutter. It looks positively neat and tidy to me (looks like you could walk from one area to another with minimal effort without shoving things out of the way).
You call that a mess? Tsk, tsk...
On a side note, I strongly suspect it would probably be best if you never even so much as saw my house--I suspect there is a very real and serious chance that you might spontaneously combust in horror.
;-)
You inspire me!
I see you still have leftover candy canes. Just threw the last of ours away yesterday.
I noticed just last night, however, that I still have stockings up on the fireplace...oops! :0)
I usually invite people over so I will clean.
