I love the show "Freestyle" on HGTV where a decorator just uses what people already have to make their rooms look cool. With the Christmas tree gone, Robb and I worked on the living room together. To surprise him yesterday, I used some free paint a friend gave me to add a more masculine effect to our bedroom. I'm thrilled with the results, especially with my furniture, which I sanded to get a distressed look, as oppossed to the grimy, sticky handprints and paint scratches we had before!

I love the 7-9-3 numbers on top of the cabinets - that is so cool! Do they have any significance or did you just stumble across them in one of your many treasure hunts? :)
And is that a TWIN size bed in your bedroom?!?! I'm surprised you don't have more kids....
:) LOL
HAHAHA!
it's actually a full, but I think it got distorted a bit. Even if we had a king size, hubby would still sleep on my side, so why bother with anything bigger?
yeah, the numbers we found at a town-wide sale in rural Missouri, and they used to be the ages of the kids...but the little buggers had birthdays and ruined it...so we just have them arranged randomly now : )
My Gawd ness...you could have a turd and you'd polish it and make it beautiful and creative!
Very cool. You should consider taking on some work as an interior decorator! If you lived anywhere close to me I'd ask for your help!! Maybe you could specialize in helping other women with hubbies in full time ministry (like me :) honestly can't even design on a dime, just need someone to help them make the most of what they already have.
Looks way cool sis!
She actually did turn a "turd" (literally, someone shat upon the front step of the location we meet at for church, under the welcome mat, so that we'd all step on it on the way in as we walked, until someone {V} moved it and noticed the shat) into the cleanest square foot of cement in all of Fayetteville and then followed it up with a new door mat.
Ness, you truly have quite a wonderful talent! I think I'd like to rearrange my apartment soon... wanna help?
