I apologize, loyal blog readers, for the lull in posting. I am, quite honestly, going through something and I don't know what I think or feel about it yet, and I'm not really ready to talk about it either. Sorry to be so cryptic, but what started out as a little online journal has become an open book to a lot of people, and I'm just not sure enough of my recent decisions to open it up to the public forum of opinion.
I will say a couple of things: My PEOPLE, and you know who you are, have been so good to me. I would have smacked me up the side of the head by now, but you all have been loving and patient. For that I thank you.
It's also busy-busy time on ebay. Finally, people are buying again. This is a good thing. However, one of my main seller tools is still broken (as it has been for weeks) and doesn't look likely to be fixed soon. This is really adding a lot to my workload...and cutting into my blogging time!
I'll leave you with this thought that I have been toying with lately...
What if we lived as though we assumed our needs were definitely going to be met, instead of always worrying if God would meet them? Is that presumption or faith?

If Faith is being "sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see" then I'd say its Faith. I love you keep tickin'.
By the way you don't owe anyone an explanation. Your loyal readers would rather you say what you want to say on your own timeline. I am certain of it.
That's such a good question! I'm going with "Faith". I've learned in my life that God does provide for us. When we least expect it, when we desperately need it, and every day. It's not always a big "Ah Ha" moment, but we have to give credit to God for our needs being met. That's the choice we made... to follow Him.
All that to say, I've seen both sides. And personally, it's better to have faith that God will provide, rather than to think that it's presumptuous to expect you'll be taken care of.
That's my take on it. I hope you know that we're all here for you, whatever it is you are going through. And you don't have to go through it alone! Just let us know what we can do to help!!! And I agree with Hannah. I'd much rather wait two weeks for you to say what you want, than for you to post every day about stuff you don't care about. :D Love you lots!
Honestly, I struggle with the same thing, or perhaps, where does faith end and presumption begin? But I think it is the worst part of myself holding so tight to that question, because the secret question beneath it is always, when, where, how, can I find some way to be in CONTROL!!!
Your people love you! Take time, breathe deep, ask questions, get still and quiet......and if all else fails, go see HAIRSPRAY!
My vote is for faith. God is our father. I do not think you can presume too much of your parents. I think your parents will ALWAYS do what they think best. It may not be what you think best, but that's a whole other blog. I do think that God will meet your needs. Maybe not your wants, but He will meet your needs.
God has promised to care for us. To believe this, to expect that He will keep His promises, is not presumptuous. It is faith. You either believe or you don't. You can accept His care with gratitude and praise or not. Sometimes our faith gets hazy or weak, or side-tracked, but as was mentioned earlier, that is for a different posting...Candice- I think you are right about the need for control; it is a big cause of doubt and weakened faith. It is difficult to give it ALL to God!
