Organizing my thoughts...

Have lots to blog about...but it's all over the desk in my brain and I need to get it organized...this is what happens when you put off blogging....

It's Megan's birthday! Happy 7th birthday to you, Sweetie!

Yesterday was Hubby's first day at the new job. Cubicle. Warehouse. Clearance Badge. Multiple monitors and computer systems. Brain overload apparently, but in a good way. I think he solved one of their major problems on his first day. He's amazing.

I dropped him off so I'd have the car to pick up the kids since it was raining yesterday. I decided I didn't have to race home for anything, so Charleigh and I headed to the library for a cup of coffee and a nice long browse. We spent about three hours and I have a stack of really great interesting books that I actually started instead of watching The Daily Show last night.

Also had a blast doing my thrift store circuit yesterday: I hit 4 of the 6 I like to visit and came home with a nice bunch of goodies: hand-thrown pottery, vintage paint by numbers, vintage Pendleton wool, pewter, 50's skinny ties and some other goodies.

It is just starting to get cool and rainy here. I keep hearing about the snow up north and I am just thrilled to be here. The leaves are just getting around to changing and the mountains look gorgeous.

Okay, no creative juice is going on this post and I am boring myself. So I'll try again when I'm a little more focussed.

Yeah, did you get that fixed?

I ran into Megan today at her school. She was wearing her birthday crown proudly. Glad things are going well.

It's so good of you two to reference the now infamous towel rack incident. I'm feeling much better. I think I had a little stomach bug...

and also too much celebrating the new jobs.

So now my little experiment is over and I know what all the fuss is about. I'll be taking my place on the wagon for the rest of my life. I'll also be banning watermelon jolly ranchers from my future.

And I'm sorry, but the towel rack, though we used extensive measures, didn't make it.

Dora, an ER doc? Not a gynocologist? People will pick up on the subtle difference of her wearing the stethoscope and not carrying around forceps as she goes door to door in the dark.

one gyno in the family is enough--not to mention that it still freaks our dad out a little if he's forced to think of it at all! She looks soooo cute in her little scrubs and mask! Speaking of cute, Vin's got a little of that Micheal J. Fox quality! What a little sweetie!

I was hopeful the "towel rack incident" would warrant its own post. Evidently not.

a lot of people read this blog and I am not about to tell on myself in that amount of detail.

let's just say that it's better to do your stupid stuff when you are young. Since I am quickly approaching NOT young, I had to try it in a controlled environment. Now, I can proudly proclaim, "been there, done that, got the t-shirt."

as the younger sister who really DID do that I'd just like to take this moment to laugh at you, t-shirt nothing

I'm just glad I was part of the "controlled environment" and got to see at least some of the entertainment.

Bummer. I passed out for the entertaining part.

This post, no, these comments made me laugh. Out loud. Thanks for sharing.... One more reason to never trust those who are closest to you. They get way too much enjoyment outta your embarrassing moments. ;)
