I've been trying to sit down and write all day, but I can't seem to have a point. Unless you call being remarkably, ridiculously grouchy for absolutely no reason at all, having a point. An edge maybe, not a point.
Let's explore the grouchy thing a bit: I have observed that I wake up grouchy for any of the following reasons:
I have to get up too early.
I have slept in too long and now half the day is gone.
I don't know what I want to do with this day.
I do know what I want to do, but I don't really want to do it.
I was awake half the night worrying about spiders, snakes or bankruptcy.
One of the kids woke me up with a bad dream about spiders, snakes, or lately, Great Horned Owls.
Robb is too cheerful.
Robb thinks he is grouchier than me.
Who else is not a morning person? why do you wake up grouchy?

I hate mornings. Guess that is why it is so easy to work the night shift. I miss Sunday mornings with you and the kids and listening to Robb give a sermon. Life is not the same with out you guys here. It is very windy here today. The winds are 45 to 55 mph and then still gusting. On a good note at least you are not here having to deal with junk being blown into your yard and tree branches falling down. Just yesterday Edward prayed at dinner that he would be able to see the kids soon. How cute it was. Thank you for every little thing you have done for us.
I dont like waking up to a child puking snot, with it running out of her mouth, and nose..and dont' forget the EWWHHY stuff on the sheets...that I usally just throw a towel over. (Oh come on you 've done it too).
I dont like waking up to LOUD TV. OR from a Phone call that is collect and VERY echoy in the background...its always someone in Jail wanting to get bailed out or the name of that "really good attorney" I knew.
I Dont' like getting up when its COLD. I dont like sleeping when I'm freezing.
I love waking up tho..dont get me wrong..I've been close to NOT waking up--the alternative isn't nearly as full as the possiblilites of waking.
acopg: the ooze in ears
i used to be a morning person when i worked the breakfast shift at the restaurant. all the cute old farmers at 6:30am eating their "oats and raisins"...now i find i'm only a morning person if i've taken my tylenol pm the night before. it helps me shut off my over active, list-making mind. bonus: i don't have stressful dreams where 400 snowmen are backing me into a dark corner.

not a morning person either. since it is still morning--i will not comment further.
I wake up grouchy because i realize that i have another day with the same routine to put in. I prefer to live in my dreams where adventure, love, fear and randomness can arrive at any moment.
I don't like to wake up unless i've had a dream that i can remember...my dreams bring some joy into the morning.
